K&N or Vararam??

Hey all! So I ordered the VMAX Iceolator yesterday now I'm looking to upgrade from my K&N 63 Aircharger to the Vararam. Any thoughts on whether or not I should just keep the K&N installed or is switching to the Vararam a much better idea?

While I have neither intake, I hear and read alot of good things about Vararam. Maybe some people that have switched and current owners can chime in for you.

I have the Vararam and love it.. I had a noticeable gain in horsepower and the sound improved as well.

Went from the Airaid to the Vararam and love it! Noticeable improvement on all fronts. Sound, performance and it looks badd ass when you open up the hood and see it right there.

I have a Vararam that I'm selling if you decide to go that way. only around 6000 miles on it.

it all depends on what your overall goal and financial issue are with regards to your car. You get what you pay for, and the vararam is, if not second, then the best in the business for the camaro in looks, sound, and performance. but theres isnt a HUGE difference between the aircharger and vararam in terms of performance.

I guess that depends on how you define huge difference. Going from an airaid system to a Vararam, I definitely felt a difference. So much so that I would do it again in a heartbeat. If you've never made the switch or even just tried a vararam, I would highly recommend it. It might just astonish you.

i was debating it. i like the looks of the CAI though. I would do the vararam if i can find a good deal on one. dont feel like spending 400$ on a new one. and i gotta sell my spectre one first lol

Did you get a CEL with the k&N air charger? Reason I ask, is b/c a guy was selling one on Craigslist but I didn't get it after reading reviews about CEL problems

it depends. some are more oiled then others. that why you get a CEL. oil gets on the MAF
