This is awesome! ..jumping back on fourth on these threads, and getting excited about moding these bad boys instead of worrying about oil levels for a change, lol

So I hope Mike gets a tester soon and can back this up with more positive results.

That said, even if it makes half the power from Tracy's testing today I'll be all over it because it is still good power for the price, and I think I can get the Vararam to work with it.
i must have missed this thread...

This is AWESOME. I will have my order placed shortly for both items. I will then do some head port matching too.

Mike I'm always available to you if you want my car. I've moved since the Dyno Day event but I'm still close by at 86th and I-465 North west. I'm off right now due to my second knee surgery but I could bring it and drop it off to you and leave it and have my girl bring me back home. You can keep it as long as you like as long as its inside and of course, I won't come get it until the roads are clean and dry. LOL

I'm curious with my Vararam, VMax TB and tune by Trifecta what the results will be and I think I probably have what most have as far as engine mods. Would be a good look with these items.

Anyway, Mike knows how to reach me if it wants my car. I'm less than 15mins from the shop.

I'm so glad I have this going on with my turbo build. Tracy PM'd saying that the insulator and matched IM will produce more power at just 6psi's. Compared to just having the turbo's with no IM and insulator. Gretchen is already running all this and look at her go!

Yes it is the same piece as Tracy tested in that is is the VMax. There are a couple reasons I want to do another test.

First, it always good to have a back up test by another facility when results are above expectations. This is not to say Tracy would skew results to make sales, but just the proper process is R&D.

Second, my testing will be more comprehensive in that it will be an "A" to "B" and back to "A" test. In other words, do the baseline with no isolator and check all pertinent temp points via infrared. Install the isolator and duplicate test process. The go back to no isolator and duplicate the process again.

Third will be PCM data to see if there was KR present in any of the testing, with or without the isolator.

And last I will also be trying to test is all the gains are coming from the less heat transfer into the upper plenum or is it being helped by adding volume to the plenum.

Like I said, a lot more comprehensive test then yesterday. This will also be tested as an "as machined" piece and how it will be sold, no port matching so this will be more of a simple bolt on real world result that would be important for about 90% of purchasers.

I think results will comparable with the Mace 25mm piece, but only a true back to back test will tell. But at least gains can be shown from dyno to dyno and in the end, the delta gains at each 100 RPM are most important, not the final numbers. FYI, the one piece was done on purpose to help with more insulation to keep heat away from the center, plus one piece is easier to install.

I will most likely go with Joe since he is local and it will be nice to see how it fits with the Vararam. But I would still like to test a stock manual trans car and I will be trying to get with WildL16 if possible on that test.

So that is it for now on my end, but keep comments and qusetions coming for sure.

Like the idea it will be tested on a car with the vararam on it. Looking forward to the results.
