Thanks,

Next up is ARH LT headers with 2" primarys, 3" exhaust, Lingenfelter 9.5" rear diff, new CVs, and 1st DSS Carbon Fiber drive shaft for the LPE diff.

FYI info to share: 12.9 Hardness Rear Diff mounting bolts with same size neck

Can you provide me with the info on where they were purchased/part numbers etc?

Would really appreciate it.
I purchased them at Ace Hardware for somewhere around $7 each I think. I don't have any part #s - but if you can't locate the bolt, I can stop by and get it off the bin. (I will try to get for everybody else's benefit and change post....) Then maybe they could be ordered on their website? They recently expanded the hardware section to about double. They may have had these already... most of expansion was polished stainless bolts, chrome and black chrome, etc. I tried to get actual Flange bolts shown in the picture of the box, but they didn't stock the length needed. Next to the box is the Allen head black 12.9 bolt with 90mm length (black 12.9 is the same type used in the high end CV shafts). They had 80mm lengths also, but would be too short for the rear bushing. Stock bolts are 85mm. Since I couldn't find a long enough flange bolts, I added a 10.9 hardeness washer on the bolt side to distribute the pressure like the flange bolt. I ended up using the OEM crimp style nuts instead of adding lock washers. The crimp style works great and can't hurt a 12.9 bolt, since they're 10.9 hardness.

Black 12.9 hardness Allen Head Bolt specs are: Metric M12 diameter, standard 1.75 pitch, 90 mm length.

Nice looking wheels for your color scheme BTW!

Lingenfelter 9.5" installed with Ceramic ARH 2" LT primarys and 3" mids

So here's a bunch of pics for reference showing clearances of exhaust around the Lingenfelter 241mm (9.5") rear differential.
First 3 are before mods from Sterling, Colorado car summer show. I did modify the exhaust slighty on the passenger side, just as it passes the diff cover. Torched and hammered in slightly, plus used longer GM exhaust hangers. The part # is 15092802 and is used on many Chevy trucks and SUVs. The ARH mids are 3" and the Corsa axle back is 2 1/2".

How did you get the Welds to fit with the coil overs? Did you have to raise the car up in the rear?

Heated up the contact point on lower control arms with MAPP gas and pounded the #@!T out of them until it cleared, plus Coilovers as high as possible in the rear. Repainted control arm area with Black rustoleum. I tested it out with "tape tateltale" strips on 4 places of the wheel edge at Bandimere Speedway.... finally was able to launch sucessfully on M&H drag radial 325's with 15 PSI, Pfadt coilovers adjusted to zero on fronts, and 5 on the rears. Plus opened up the oval holes on the bottom of the control arms to make coilover adjustments easier and half moon grinds on top side of OEM gussets. I'll have to dig up some pictures and post up.

Hey Blue70SS thanks for posting these photos up. Do you know by chance if the LPE diff is the same size in terms of height vs the OEM? Do you know if the LPE diff has room above it if you were to raise it 1/2 to 3/4? I am thinking if the diff went up with solid offset bushings it may eliminate the exhaust clearance issues. Report back for us here if you can stick your hand on top of the diff while its mounted in the cradle.

There is room above it to fit my fingers, but the case just above the 2 front bushings would definitely hit the rear cradle. Also FYI, I was just told you wouldn't want to raise the diff, as it would change the pinion angle.

BMR Driveshaft Loop Modification by Brian at Laramie GMAC:

We extended the plate 5 1/2" inches, then added a 2" by 8" welded plate on the back for extra strength. Extending the plate 6" would be better for those without the Pfadt engine mounts - otherwise the loop might be able to touch the rear portion of the shifter mount. (because the Pfadt mounts won't flex as much as the OEM engine mounts) The goal was obviously to make it legal, but also keep it covering the insertion area of the billet end piece of the Carbon Fiber driveshaft. EDIT, either way - extending it 6" is the best for everyone with the drive shafts that utilize the front CV.

This mod is needed for any of the 1-piece driveshafts, since the front CV joint pushes the shaft further back in the tunnel.

Also, just noticed if the diff was raised you could also run into clearance problems with the inside CVs and the cradle.

GT9 Cam installed.....

Love the cam! Can't really get on it yet till tuned for it though. Here's a phone video clip..... sounds louder than it really is. I installed Corsa "Touring" exhaust to tone it down a bit. Sound is perfect now and really opens up on WOT. Corsa doesn't promote the Touring edition and won't sell it to you unless you specify how loud your getting with your particulair build - you have to tell them about LT headers/supercharger/high flow or no cats. You won't find part #s listed on any websites. (actually found 1, but Corsa made them remove it). Already sold the previous Corsa system and rear end.

Lingenfelter ZR1 to GT9 Cam swap

- Dyno sheets show 2.95" pully, but both were 2.75"

- Notice how the Peak Torque curve was really extended

- Peak boost only dropped .11 lbs at 6035 elevation
