Next Mod
So got the short throw installed 18X9.5 Vette wheels for the back with MT DRs what to add next cam or gears havent decided on this one yet thinking gears but the sound and added HP of the cam would be nice as well. I can get the gears now or save a little more and get the cam package. What to do? Suggestions and input welcome.

Cool! The 4.11's will make your car a different beast and they'll go well with the cam upgrade. I did the gears first and then I was seriously considering not doing the cam for a bit, because the car feels so strong now. Of course, I'll end up doing the cam but I am very happy with the difference that came with my 4.10's

I would not do 4:11 gears, since you are going to do a cam down the road just do the 3:70's with the upgraded Posi Mod that JAnnetty's sells and call it a day.....

Gears are seemingly becoming popular for those with all the bolt ons already done. Don't know that Id jump to gears before a Cam but eh....different strokes for different folks man!
Lemme know when you're ready for a Stage 2 Cam....we've been skunkworking a few new ideas. Last 2 picked up 70 at the wheels. Ivan |

My gxp came factory with 3.70 gears and I would like 4.10s.

Well decided will be going with gears first as soon as I get a response from the seller her on the forum. Next will be a cam when I get saved back up.

For and LS3 you should go 3.91 gears. At least I think its a great combo for a daily driver. To me the 3.70 just isn't a big enough difference for the money.
I might do a cam someday but IMO once you go inside the motor it's like there is no going back. If you were to sell the car most people will shun a way from a car with a cam.....at least I would. I'll tell you that the 3.91 gears really makes a kick in the seat of the pants. I just sucks that they are so expensive.

Well purchased the 4.11s for the rear end now to save up again for the cam next if the wife doesn't need the money for something else.
