Not saying you're wrong, because of course I do not know that.

Personally, I'd rather have a single big working scoop like the GT500, I wont be driving this thing fast enough to see the effects of a heat-extractor up-force thingy
Too many people think that air effects don't help at highway speeds, that you need to be going 100 mph plus for them to have an effect. That was proven to be wrong with the first gen. Camaro D80 front and rear spoilers that made a significant difference at 60-65 mph. The papers and studies from GM engineers are on the web showing the differences.

+1. One of the only aerodynamic phenomena used on cars that doesn't work until triple digits is "ram-air". Every little nip-tuck on the vehicle body will effect stability and Cd of a car at highway speeds (Ever wonder where that little lip above the diffuser in the rear fascia came from?).

Newton's 3rd Law, (as you stated above), does not apply to fluid dynamics the way that, say, two vehicles crashing into each other does.

Basically, by using hoods like this, you decrease "lift" on the front end, which has the same effect (in practice) as creating more "downforce" on the front end through the use of front splitters and such.

I think the main reason of the scoops is to reduce resistance of the air flowing trough the front and the engine compartment.
not really sure about all the other stuff that is going on...

P.S. the blue looks nice but is seems like it has a purple tint to it... I guess it's pretty difficult to draw a nice rich blue (just as it is difficult to capture the ABM or IOM on photos)
