are we comfortable with acknowledging from a performance stand point that the gt500 is capable of 12.5 comfortably sometimes a little lower with the experience of the driver and weather, i kno this video doesn't show an accurate depiction of a gt500 1/4 being 12.8 or whatever it was. if we can agree upon that then we should also agree that the camaro ss as of right now is sitting at 12.9 i think the hennessey camaro is a close estimate as to what a $50k z28 would be able to accomplish from the factory, dont remember the exact numbers but i think it had an 11.6ish quarter. since we have no z28 yet, the hennessey was able to show us what a FI camaro could do with those power levels, having GM make a camaro like this for $50k with a warranty and the components to handle massive power later...that's food for thought i won't mind enjoying |

i wouldnt mind being close to 50k with a
forged ls3 > forged 5.4 IRS > Solid Axle A standard 6 speed And the p**sy magnet on the borat edition, whereas ford only offers a Bruno edition

Also their 11.6 run was done on drag radials, and if you saw the video there was VHT all the way down the track. Take the Hennessey Camaro and have them run on street tires comparable to the GT500's and I guarantee it will be a mid 12. sec. car also. |

i'm more than certain that if gm were to bring the z28 out that it would be priced/powered to compete with the gt500. with the gt500 most likely receiving a FI variant of the coyote engine some of you guys have been talking about(correct me if i'm wrong here i'm not on mustang forums nearly as much as you guys are over here i kid i kid), i wouldn't doubt it if GM doesnt squeeze a little more power under the hood in anticipation |

i called you a condescending tool(and i apologize for that) because in your original post you act as if camaro owners/purchasers are dumb and should have gotten a gt500. i don't think i've read a post on here yet saying the gt500 is a bad car by any means. maybe i took your statements wrong and for that i'm sorry but that's the impression i got from how you worded your post |

Forged LS3 is just bigger than a forged 5.4 A forged engine is a good engine regardless of its CI The skid pad proves otherwise, also experience 1/4 racers know LIVE AXLE > IRS....try reading this forums broken half shafts section... ?? The GT500 has a 6spd I have no ideal wtf that even means... |

Here is a good price comparison that I have real numbers on. I bought my 2SS/RS for 36K plus the 11K for Lingenfelters package plus 1500 for Pedders Xa's and bushings. This puts me at 48,500. If you want to add in the Borla exhaust then it would be $49,800. I still have a warranty on the engine and S/C. Drivetrain I will probably upgrade as time goes on. Could I have had the same with GT500, probably but I love the Camaro. Get what you like and play with it. to all muscle cars!!

small volume specialized tuners don't equal large volume manufacturers in price points. But yes everything else makes sense.
