Nah, stabilitrac is still there. It'll let you get damn near sideways before it intervenes though

You have a V6: no competitive mode

Interesting info.. I actually did not know there were so many settings.. I do know that last night I hit the button to turn off the T/C and I did pitch the car sideways out of a driveway (on purpose, and yes the road was closed...*cough cough*)

My ls automatic has all three modes, or at least the lights come on as if it does. I do know that if I hold the button for longer than 7 seconds, my car gets sideways easily, and the Lego of tire spin changes with the different button pushes.

This is interesting. I did not know that the steering would be affected. Is this on all models/years?

When the roads are dry, I normally turn off TC, but I like that ST is on just in case things get crazy.

Maybe comp mode is the way to go? TC is still off, ST is relaxed, but still there and steering is tighter. Sounds pretty good to me. I know they recommend it only for track use, but really? As long as the driver respects the car's power and knows when they can and cannot stomp the throttle (around a corner, for example), I don't see the big deal. All these "nannies" are a recent development on cars. People drove them just fine before their existence. **puts on flame suit**

I think for the steering to be effected it as to have the electric power steering, eg 2013 models

That sucks. I wonder how the steering on a 2012 compares to a 2013? Is the "normal" setting on the 2013 the same feel as the 2012, and then the "tighter" setting is even tighter than the 2012?
