I never used to be a car guy. I was always very utilitarian and never bothered worrying about styling, acceleration, handling and performance-in-general. The first time I saw the Camaro concept, I thought to myself "I really have to get one of those."

In January 2010, I fulfilled that wish and bought my 1LT RS which I have loved every day since. The design spoke to me in a way that I had never experienced before, and the performance for the money I (gladly) spent was more than I could have expected.

I may not be one of the early faithful; but, a big thank you from a new enthusiast to GM and the community of long-time faithful Camaro fans. Without you, I would have never discovered my inner car-guy.

Now thats the kind of press release I just love to read. It is VERY refreshing to see GM back on top of their game again, and as for the performance cars. This 53 y/o thinks this is a GREAT time for performance car enthusiasts, who'd of thunk it just 4 short years ago, thanks for all you guys do!!!!

Thanks..... this is my 3rd Camaro (94 Z28 and a 2001 SS) and I'll never forget the day that I got to see the concept car back in 2006 at the All GM Nationals in Carlisle, PA. I'm sure you'll remember this............

I'd like to send a big thanks right back at ya! GM has made such an incredible car that appeals to everybody, and because of this the community is so varied and involved. And having someone "on the inside" who is connected to the community in this way is unprecedented and really adds to the culture.

So thank you comrades!

Did the 2001 memo tell the Pontiac fans to have faith that the TA/firebird would return? Not a dig Fbodfather but a lot of us would still love to see that return...I don't know how to suggest it be done but would still love to see a production TA version of our Camaro. Maybe do what Dodge did when they discontinued Plymouth and switched a few nameplates over to Dodge or Chrylser?? Cadilac or Buick Firebird?? Have to think about how that sounds...probably Buick over the Caddy...or maybe just the limited edition "GM Firebird" Maybe a TA-1 with T-tops??
