46 Auto bad knee and wife does not know how to drive a stick. Thinking about it she wanted to drive my car bad yesterday and I let her. Now I think I shouldof got a stick

LS3 - 22/23 (latter by the time I receive the car mid 2010..)

Driven Automatic since age 15.5; driven manual turf trucks and tractors since 17. This will be my first time on the road though with a manual car. I had the Honda Magna after all and that was a 6 spd V4 shaft drive with plenty of punch. I hope one day to have another V45 sitting in the stable next to the 'maro..

2SS MANUAL, 30 yr old male

In my humble opinion, manual sports cars are the only way to go and this is my daily driver. Infact, if my car came in with an auto tranny, it would be a deal breaker for me.

2SS (V8), Manual, 49.

Over the many years, I have owned an almost equal split between manual and automatic transmissions. But as one ages, and the more commuting that is done, the more a necessity an automatic transmission becomes.

As an example, I bought a new 2005 Civic SI manual transmission but traded it in a year later on a 2006 Civic EX automatic. I have a 35 mile commute though a BIG city, and all it took was one roll-over that caused my normal 45 minute commute to go to 3 hours. This 3 hour commute was nothing short of a stop/start clutching hell.

All this said, my 2010 Camaro will be strictly a pleasure car and won't be used for commuting. So a manual transmission is a must for a pony car like the Camaro.

27 - Manual. Started driving a stick when I was 13 (pays to live out in the country)...my last couple vehicles have been auto (Yukon/Silverado) and I miss the hell outta rippin' through gears manually.
