mmm - i'm not pleased with the 'touch-up' job. I let him know i wasn't too happy. Getting it home and taking another look -- its definitely a call back to the body shop manager and asking for the 'refinish' this took them less than an hour.... Pictures show where it was obviously touched in - while we both agreed to 'try' to touch in, this is not a smooth job.

Secondly Did the inside look like the last pictures? seems like there should be better fittings then simply ram a couple of bolts through to the J-clip..

Mine has this issue and it is RJT. The collision shop at the dealer said they would respray the bumper, and that it was caused during assembly by overtightening some bolts.

43192 is my vin.

I've looked at two other Camaro's locally and neither one of them had it.
I'm going to wait until winter is over to get it resprayed though.

If I got my car two months age in L.A., will a dealer in San Diego fix this for me under warranty?

That sucks...I coulda done a better job than that with a Q-tip! Definetly take it back and tell them to fix it right.

Mine was touched up and you can not tell it from new!

Thought same --- how about the bolts in the trunk? I think this is the first time these guys have done this --- but the inside looks crap too..

Mine was the front end. I did not notice the bolts under the hood. Thanks for the heads-up, though...will check it tonight.

The touch-up on the yellow car looks like a 2nd grader did it. Anyone see the service bulletin to see how much time GM gave to do the job?

Whoever touched up that yellow Camaro must have been drunk to let that out the door of a professional body shop. Is anyone seeing any issues with the paint anywhere else on the cars? My paint is flaking at the joint of the rear bumper/quarter panel, drivers door, and passenger fender?

Thanks to anon who sent the bulletin..(love this forum!!!) Total time close to 3 hours. In the bulletin there are 2 procedures.
1 - with no paint damage = 2 bolts, 2 J clips adjustment - 0.2 hours.
2 - with paint peeling = (1) + repaint/clearcoat = 2.5 hours

I don't think my dealer will complain too much seeing as it took less then an hour (majority of that was probably reading the bulletin, taking a break, reading again ..) They just touched up - and claimed the full time.

Will see him next week

Mine did the opposite- with no paint damage-except there is paint damage. I didn't think they would have time to do the paint (Nor the shimming) since they were to do the other service bulletin for HVAC/Spoiler Bolts/Harness, as well as PDIM software update to version CE (Which took them almost 6 hours to do- couldn't do it wireless, used usb and needed assistance from tech center, BUT COMPLETED IT!!).

I was wondering why they would do the shim job knowing they had no time for the paint- .2 hrs!!
