WOW, what kind of driving, mostly city?
My V6 avg is 25.5 and it is not broke in yet. My back country roads and highway driving is a 36/64 split though and I avg @42-45mph overall.

Would you be looking at auto or manual?

Also remember the V-8's use 91+ octane.

And I am currently sitting at 20 mpg with about 80/20 freeway to city. If I am doing more city driving it sits about 18 mpg and I'm still in the break-in period.

I have an A6 2SS

When my car was stock I would get 25.3 MPG highway, 18.5 MPG city.

Now after removing all the AFM/DoD and putting in a non VVT cam and a 3200 stall TC, I get 12 city, and 18 highway - my average is typically 15.5 mpg.

I had a 1LT (V6) for a year before trading to my 2SS/RS (V8) both Automatics.

The V6 averaged 23.5 MPG 60%Hwy/40%Cty (Approx 9.8 Liters/100Km).

Last week I took the brand new V8 on a trip from SC, through Niagara Falls & Canada to Detroit & back to SC (2200 Miles round Trip) & averaged 22.9 MPG 95% Hwy/5% city ( 10.23 Liters/100km).

I expect the mileage to drop as the percentage of city driving increases now that the long trip is behind me.

With the LS3 I get around 18.5 city and around 24 highway. On the way to Camaro5.com fest last April, I actually averaged 25.4 mpg pre-cam though
