High altitude cruising

Took "Blue" up to Huntington Lake yesterday. Hunting Lake is at about the 8000' elevation of the Sierra Nevada Mts., in California, East of Fresno. What a delight driving those mountain roads. She handles so beautifully and tight around the curves. Had my iPod plugged in, sunroof open, windows down, as the mountain air was approx. 70 degrees at that elevation. Stopped at a few turnouts to pose her, and drew attention each time. I absolutely love driving this car, it is all I hoped it would be and more. I am so glad that I opted to go 6 spd Manual, because it's such a rush shifting in the mountains! I've had Blue since May 11th, and she just turned 700 miles on the way down the hill. Here are a few pics I took while cruising in the California mountains.....enjoy

Thanks

I continue to get great comments on the ABM. Many people have never seen ABM on a Camaro. She really climbed that mountain effortlessly too. Between my wife's C5 Corvette, and my 2010 Camaro, I like the way the Camaro handles better, but then again the Camaro is M6, the 'Vette is Auto.

Ya know ya got something great when your car looks better than a Sierra mountains lake. Great pix, thanks for posting!

Blue

Eventually, I'd like to do another shoot up there with some color in the sky. There is almost too much blue in those pics. Thank goodness for the green trees, or everything would be blue. I guess I could do that locally, during a nice sunset. I'll post 'em when I do! I'm still wanting to get other Camaro owners together for a multi car shoot. The more colors the better! I posted the request before, but it never sprang wings.
