2014 Camaro Cabin Back Panel Defect?

Would love to hear what this chevy customer service rep has to say about this problem. I think he has has enough time to investigate.

I inspected it and the replacement piece also had the defect. The service guy said he couldnt see it..of course. If GM isn't aware of this issue, with as many units that are effected, their quality control is in worse trouble than some may have previously thought.

I had never noticed this defect until this thread was started and I went out to check my SS. Now like you and others, it is just so obvious each time I look in the rear view mirror and it is even more annoying that GM has just overlooked this on a vast number of cars with their "qc."

I dropped by the dealer in Sacramento yesterday in regards to this issue, and they seemed surprised. They plan to order the part and have it fixed by next week.

Is it worth getting fixed?

Fixed under warranty sure is worth getting fixed.

I think it is caused from the molding process. I tinted my windows within the first week of ownership. I have not seen this. Will look again in daylight!! Also noticed the mesh of the speakers have bumps on them!!!!

The part just got in, I will update as soon as I get it installed. Maybe more information has came out about this defect. I also got my front grille recently replaced because of some white marks that were on it when I purchase it.

After you get it installed let us know if you hear any rattles and how everything looks when it's put back together.
That's a big fear of mine. They will fix the defect but we will have squeaks and rattles coming from the rear of the car

Double check it before it gets installed. The new one they ordered me still had the defect.
