Cheapest option for 18" wheels for DRs to clear Brembos...

Looking for the cheapest option in getting a 18" wheel to clear the Brembos for drag radials... weight is not a huge priority as I just want 2 for the rear, i'd even take a production wheel if they would clear...

18x9.5" (+40 offset) reproduction Corvette wheels. I think most guys are using the C5 Z06 wheels. That is your cheapest option.

that offset is hard to find fyi. I'm using tsw nurburgrings...18x9.5...not bad high and lighter than a lot of drag wheel options to boot!

Why not get 10" wheels and 315 tires?

I honestly may run the stock wheels, I have OEM chrome wheels on my car and have the stock polished ones boxed up... may just throw a set of 305/35/20 Mickey Thompson ET streets on the 2 stock rear wheels and call it a day... think i'm going to throw 3.90s under the car and being its a L99, it will need plenty of tire, lol

It seems hard to find the offset needed on the wider wheels.

You will have more contact patch if you run a 275 wide drag radial on that factory 9.0 rear wheel. The 305 will bulge badly, and your contact patch won't be flat against the road during acceleration. Need a 10.0 minimum wheel for a 305 wide tire, with 10.5 wide being perfect.

Nine ball I have 305 NT05Rs on 9.5" wide corvette grand sport wheels, I don't think it is bulging at all, certainly don't have traction issues.

that's bulging...see how the outside of the tread pattern is clean?
I run the same...305 on 9.5...while its not optimum, it does work at low pressure...like 15-17 psi because the contact patch is all the way across the tread at launch.

Well smack my a$$ and call me shirly, I never noticed that lol. But there they are aired up to 38 PSI and when at the track as you said at 15-20 PSI they wear very different (in a good way)
