No no no... there were 4 minor injuries from 3 accidents. No deaths.

Don't know what that would have to do with someone bumping it with their knee, that just doesn't make sense.

Will not be bringing my car in, my knees don't come close to the fob. I like my switchblade key....

That was the one on the cobalts, HHR, Ions, G5s, Skys and Solstices, not the same issue as the Camaro.

It would make sense only if GM designed a key cylinder that had a failsafe lever, button, or similar mechanism that would need to the actuated along with a key that would not allow it to be inadvertently kicked to the off position. I'm not on the inside of these meetings so I have no idea what the final fix will be. Seems anything that would stick into the existing cylinder could potentially be kicked to off unless it was flexible. I'll just wait and see what they come up with and decide whether I want one.

Why is this just a recall on Camaros and not the other GM vehicles that uses the exact same setup?

Maybe they want to do the tumblers so we cant use our old keys. I'm with everyone else unless they want to upgrade me I will keep my switchblade key. I'm 6'4" and have had my car since Nov. 2009 and keep only 3 other keys on the FOB and never had any issues.

Then they'd need to column, the glove box, drivers door and in verts the emergency trunk release.

The shadow of my 2010 has not darkened the entrance to a service department since I took delivery in September, 2009. She's not going in for this recall, either. I love the switchblade key, and I'm not giving it up for a garden-variety detached key fob.

That would be overkill in my opinion. This whole deal is ridiculous.
