Has anyone from michigan seen this proposed law?
http://echo.bluehornet.com/hostedema...d&ei=NYr8q9NtN
Have any of you seen this, and is it real? If it is, we need people out in full force voting against it! What would this world be without loud exhausts!?!?!? |

I haven't seen this, but that would be insane... so many cars/trucks have aftermarket exhaust systems here in Michigan, I really hope this gets thrown out.

I think the proposed law could be considered reasonable but the penalty is way out of wack.

Florida has had exhaust laws for years. Anything but OEM exhaust is illegal, but is never really enforced. Don't loose sleep over it, no big deal.

Has anybody read the actual bill, and not an email about it?
Not saying I don't trust SEMA, but a little context goes a long way. |

Nothing is True
|
I've long thought it was funny that they're called "lawmakers" and not "freedommakers."
Seriously, their very job description suggests that they need to sit around and create new laws. By creating new laws, they get to appear as if they're being busy and "working for the people." We need more lawmakers involved in deconstructing existing laws...

If I'm reading this correctly, it states that it is illegal for a business to modify the exhaust. Doesn't say anything about Billy Bob doing it, nor actually having mods.
