sorry to quote an old post... I am piecing together the upgrade myself, and test fitted on a member's ZL1 first

on my wheels I actually have more clearance to the caliper with the ZL1 brakes than I do to the SS brakes due to the shape and position of the calipers.. one thing to keep in mind is that the ZL1 rotors are larger, so the calipers sit further out from the center of the hub. On my deep concave wheels, this gave me alot more clearance.

Another test I did was a measurement of a stock SS rotor and a CTS-V rotor laying on the ground with the hats facing up... I put a tape measure through the hub opening, and both rotors measured exactly the same suggesting that your wheel will sit at the exact same point in the wheelwell as it will with the stock SS brakes... especially important to someone like me lowered so much with 10.5 +35's up front.

Finished up another CTS-V front brake caliper conversion. This customer wanted them to match his factory rears for that OEM look and they turned out great!

Yes, these would be compatible with the RB rotors meant for the ZL1. However I suggest the OEM ZL1 rotors. We tried the BR rotors and had them crack in less than 8k miles. Since then, we have used the factory 2 piece ZL1 rotors with flawless dependability.

Feel free to call, PM or email me anytime with questions.

Best regards,

Tyler

Are the ZL1 rotors lighter than the stock SS rotors. I mainly want the RB rotors because of the weight savngs.

I apologize for the delay on this response.

The ZL1 Rotors are 2 lbs heavier than the factory SS front rotors.

Best regards,

Tyler

Any options for a 1LE emblem on the calipers?

Like this (sans the brembo):

That's kind of like mine. I used Mike the Powder Coater. I imagine JDP can do it too. I have the jpeg somewhere if needed.

Also I consider Chevy/GM doing this on the new 1LE a hell of an endorsement of my taste... LoL
