What a mess!!!

Well, I'm buying a house in a couple weeks, so the current garage needed to be cleaned up and organized "a little".

With an 11 month old around the house and work busier than ever, I haven't had a lot of time to reorganize the existing garage. Well, moving has changed that. Went thru and pulled things out last night and started organizing things on the one side.

haven't been able to work on the car much lately, mostly because I can't even get to it...lol

one of the good things about working for the company I do is that we have a LOT of suppliers and that means a LOT of boxes to recycle... or load in my truck to take home...lol

so right now, things are still a little busy. didn't take a picture of things fully cleaned as it was around midnight after I got the floor swept up and the shuffleboard table moved back over.

so...

pic 1 is a heads on shot of all the crap thats been accumulating over the last year or so

pic 2 is some boxes and patio furniture my wife bought... and a flimsy shelf that is probably more hassle than its worth

pic 3 is a shot of the car with some fairly good sized boxes stacked on top of it (the hood for the car is in the storage shed behind the garage

pic 4 is the most awesome couch evar... rotten orange vinyl with wheels... its fun to ride downhill in the neighborhood with a beer or two on the couch... (ask me how I know...lol)

pic 5 is the main work bench and one of the smaller storage racks with the garage pc

pic 6 is the camaro's to-do list in order of precedence/importance. some things are done... but a loooooot needs to be done yet

pic 7 is the air compressor that crapped out on me halfway thru pulling the front clip off the car... which was then put back on while I worked on the compressor befor finally giving up for the night... still doesnt work... outta sight, outta mind... right...lol (its going to the dump when I move)

pic 8 is just some storage above the garage door. you can see the exhaust for the car sticking off to the side

pic 9 is the currently unused shuffleboard table, total gym, and a few other items...

pic 10 is one of my bigger storage racks... with a smaller rack in front of it... and a garden tool rack in front of that...lol

and finally...

pic 11 is the new garage that I'm moving into...

Step 1. remove minivan from garage....lmao

and Zabo... if you're reading this... your parts that I sent you were in a box on the second shelf (where the open gap is) in pic 10... till I put them in the box to mail out... part of the reason they were late...

Spike, I can say this, because we are cut from the same cloth...(it's ok you don't have to admit it)....

Holy shit.....that's a lot of shit.

But for reals, I feel your pain, wait till the kid walks and talks back..... Impossible to get anything done. But, also, the funnest times.

Good luck!!

thats not all of it. there's an attic above the garage that has more car parts (converting to a 4th gen camaro interior on the 78)

and she's almost walking now. she took 3 steps to me yesterday when I picked her up from the sitter

and I would be pouring new concrete anyway. hell, if I'm pulling the old place out, might as well pour a new driveway at the same time...lol

here's a few more pics of the house and layout

oh and on a side note, Emily called me on the way home yesterday and at one point in the conversation mentioned that she liked the mailslot on the camaros(v8s) (she called it the nose slit) over the ones without (v6's). So it appears that when the time comes... I wont be going v6...lol

We looked at probably 50-60 houses in the last couple years and we've found a bunch that we both loved, but were either way too expensive or out in the @$$ crack of creation (which I wouldnt mind for everything I would be getting) One house had a 2400sq ft unfinished basement that the guy had converted to an under house garage... and it had a 3 car detached garage already and 5 acres of land, but out in the boonies.

My only real requirement for a house was that it had at least a 2 car garage. The worst part of it all is that apparently I have no idea what my wife wants in a house. she would send me a few listings to look at and I would then find other ones that I thought were similar/identical... and she'd tell me they were ugly or something else. women...

this house does not have a ceiling that is less than 10ft and the only one that is 10 ft is the bathroom. the top of the doorway in the hallway (2nd row, middle pic) is 8ft... then theres another 3-4 ft before you hit the ceiling. The house itself could be a 1.5 story looking at it from the outside. but its HUGE inside. (see pics below) one of the coolest things about the house is that it has the original sinks in the bedrooms (that was apparently popular back in the 20s)

copied from the other thread...

and if anyone cares... I have a really old thread (2 years ago)on here somewhere from when I moved into the house I'm at now

I have one, but I am keeping it, kinda need it for the TATA

The house looks great!
Anyway... I'd like to redo suspension and all, but am probably going to go stockish with a stock LS1 and t56.

I found a company CAchassisworks.com that has pretty affordable solutions, but you HAVE to use their a-arms, etc. they told me stock equipment wont bolt up to their subframes

That's mine, sadly I didn't buy the upper control arms from the guy.
I better not look into aftermarket upgrades... I really want to be able to buy an LS1 for this car on the 16y/o budget.
My subframe got blasted and painted.
