LOL, always some CSRT4 guy .

You know what's cool about Cobalts though? They can turn. Crazy huh? JK, to you CSRT4 dudes.

- man I'm gona get beat down.

Most of the autocross listing Ive seen around Texas have the CSRT4 above the Cobalt in ranking. But these are not the large courses.

---

Agreed, I personally would stick with the Camaro

but its soooo ugly! The cobalt is definitely a mean lil piece of machinery... only thing that really kept from looking at one more seriously was the interior. Camaro just blows it away on every level, so meh. Would definitely be a great car to build into racer though

I have a Cobalt SS/TC for my daily driver and it's definitely fun for what it is.

It has no lift shift and launch control from the factory and makes almost the same amount of power as an S197 Mustang GT from the factory and weighs much less

Stock, mine made 251 WHP / 258 WTQ and with only a tune, it made 279 WHP / 321 WTQ.

It's a turbo car, so it picked up a little bit of boost too, but at 2,600 lbs. and that much down low power, it's a fun little car. It's the increase in torque that made a huge difference. I like picking on other cars, because they just don't expect it

I wouldn't buy it over a Camaro, but it's a fun daily driver...

Here's a few videos of another one we did just a tune on.

These videos and going for a ride in this car are what made me buy one for a DD.

2009 Cobalt SS turbo, stock except Livernois Tune.

I was at the Bristol Tn dragstrip on Friday (june 12) for the Hot Rod Power Tour and I saw an 09 Colbalt SS/TC run a 14.4 in the quarter mile, it was from Texas. I am not sure if it had any mods. I also saw a 2010 Camaro SS with a manual trans run a 14.2 but the track was slick and it spun bad. I was impressed by the Colbalt. My son has an 06 SS/SC and it runs good but the TC are stronger.

On paper the Cobalt SS sounds like a deal, but in person it just looks like an Econobox imo.

A tick over 13.0 sec. and you're through the quarter-mile. It's a rush, of course, but not overly dramatic. Try the same thing with this pair's predecessors of 1970 or so and you'll find yourself in a bit of a wrestling match. Ain't progress wonderful? Maybe yes, and maybe sometimes it's fun to wrestle."
