2013 corvette production is only 9 months long. Production ends February 2013 and the plant will be down for a few months. It's possible the 2014 Camaro could get DI, but the it would be strange for GM to have an all new engine in 3 cat/truck lines right off the bat.
But it is a different world and the new fuel economy standards will really be in full effect for 2016.

I would love to see the new v-8s for the 2014 model year but I'm thinking either 2015 or they will wait till the sixth gen. I don't think they would bother with all the testing costs to only put it in a fifth gen for 1 or 2 model years. The other side of the coin is that they can recoup the development costs of the gen V V-8s themselves by putting them in as many models as possible as soon as possible. Mentioning CAFE is a good point I just hope the fuel economy improvement is substantial. The ATS EPA ratings were just realeased and are not very impressive. 22/33 for the base NA 4 cylinder. The turbo 4 and V-6 are within a few points city and highway if I remember right.

I probably just need to wait til the 2015/2016 models as I read all these changes that could "possibly" be happening...

How much lighter are your 19" forgestars than the forged 20s?

Wheels are pretty close in weight, maybe 1/2 a pound, it's the tires that make the difference, the 20" tires add 3-5lbs more weight per corner depending on the sizes/brands.

Yeah, I put 19s on my GTO and fitted re11s and then found out they were 3-4 lbs heavier than michelins or just about everything else. Still an awesome tire. Going back to 18s to get about 7 lbs of weight off and gain some ride quality.
