Subframe Bushings Inserts... WTF?!

So I decided to install the Pedders EP1200 inserts and was able to successfully install the rear inserts without issue. The front, I got the top inserts in however, I could not for the life of me get that damn plates on the bottom off. I used claw hammers, heat, air-hammer and chisel, slide hammer, etc, etc etc. All that happens is the plate and center of the bushing stretch down. For all of you that got those fronts plates off, props to you because I want to take gun to these plates and blow them away....

Don't do that, lol, you've got to re-use them!

I used the 2 hammer method with the car on jackstands, with the rear diff lowered with a jack.

If I can do it, believe me, so can you! Have a beer and go get'em tiger!

I also did the 2 hammer method. I even had a pry bar wedged against the plate and the cradle, used a hydraulic jack against the other end of the pry bar to try to pry that plate off. The plate is still stuck to the bushing...

The center of the bushing that the plate is pressed against just stretches the bushing down. I hate this thing.
