To gain close to 200 hp, your gonna need to spend a lot more. Speed costs money, how fast you wanna go?

Just checked, yes you are. If you can afford it and have the means and then a spare car I would take your car to Stephen in Longview. He's an amazing mechanic on LS motors and has an amazing tuner to tune LS motors. My friend and I have been going to him for years with our GTO's and now my Camaro is going to him in January. I can send you a PM with his website. |

Post up your time slip(s). You have a lot of improvement on a 8.9 still staying stock. My guess is it is your 60', but can't be sure without looking at the time slips.

Here's some things to try to get better times: 1) Drop the pressure in your rear tires to around 25 psi. Raise the pressure in your front tires to around 42 psi 2) Start launching right off of idle. Roll into the gas as you come off the brake...don't just stab the gas. As each time you go down launch at about 200 RPM higher until you start to feel a little spin. Stop there. 3) Run in sport mode, not normal drive mode. Don't use manual shifting. 4) Run with about 1/4th to 1/3 tank of gas. Take out your back seat (bottom and top). This will give you even more of a weight advantage. Check out this thread -- http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=317537

We got you covered on the tune side. We can take out the factory throttle lag, boost your torque throughout the midrange, and give you more peak horsepower, all in a 20 minute DIY computer flash. I'd recommend this as a start and also pulling one of your brothers spark plug wires as well...

Chargers are no slouches, especially the Super Bee's which run 150lbs lighter than stock SRT8s.
My camaro keeps up but thats with Full bolt-ons, 3.91's and a 3600 Stall (And the backseat removed). I run my Charger with 18' DR's and no modifications and I'm low 12's all day long, only need a tenth to be in the 11's. From a roll my camaro has absolutely no chance. From a stop the camaro gets the upper hand but even then its a very close race.

#2 Like Gretchen said spend some more time at the track and master your 60 ft #3 Like everyone else said headers, tune, possible cam and stall. #4 Before you do any power adders though I would recommend giving your suspension some love first. Check out the BMR, Pedders, And Pfadt drag race kits. They're cheap and will tone down a lot of the wheel hop which will save your drive train once you add power and also allow you to actually use what you're already putting down.

Stop fooling yourself. You will say you only want to get to 12.4, than 12.0, than 11.5, 11.0,10.5... And so on. Do like everyone else has done, start with a cai, headers, tune, dr, loose the passenger seat, back seat, smaller battery, better suspension parts and than you will go cam, heads, and supercharger or nos.

Wooooo take a step back everyone. We need to see the time slip. For all we know this guy is cutting 2.3 60's while his bro is doing sub 2.0's.
