We're talking about the part by the window sill.

Orders won't go through with suede knee pads as an option. At least that was the case when I ordered. Supplier issue.

sorry for the delay.

though, I suppose the real test is going to be a road course day when it's raining... Our groups still "make you" put the windows down.. though, they don't enforce it when it's really hard rain, only if it's sprinkling or light where it can still roll off the window area quickly enough to not come inside.

It's like an unwritten rule of "look, we're kinda required to make you put the windows down, we'll yell about it all day in meetings... but... (coughs and speaks softly) we won't pull you off track or flag you for having them up because clearly it's going to F up your interior if it's soaking it."

This is what I think as well...I will buy the dash insert for sure. Not sure about swapping out my door panels though.

I/m just installing the black suede knee pads and calling it a day. Don't want to swap the panels.

I have the knee pads wish they had matching dash pad in same stitching. Do they made a matching console cover suede with 1le stitched in it?

Dash pad I think is coming on the 2SS 1LE, so I'll get that too. There is a suede console cover, but it says something like Chevrolet Performance, not 1LE. So I passed.

Ordered the OEM suede knee pad set (4 pcs) from GM retailer on EBay. Free shipping, and ~$50 less than my dealer.

Just an FYI Alcantara is Suede.

Alcantara is made in Italy and is the European word for Suede made by Okamoto...

The difference really being other than the terminology, Alcantara is a form of Ultrasuede (Higher end Suede family) being slightly superior form of suede by adding an automotive Eurospec Flame-retardant in the material.

No. Alcantara is a microfiber fabric made from polyester and polyurethane. Suede is leather.
