I did the pinnacle series from LA Tint. Not only does it look cool, but it reduces heat in a big way. They have a heat lamp with different tints. Have them show you. Also, the ceramic does not interfere with the antenna. I got mine with 35 all around. Go to DMV and get the medical waiver form if you want them darker than 50 without getting a ticket. Have the eye doctor fill it out and fax it in. They will update your registration in DMV to allow 35 tint.

Looks like they did an awesome job. When the snow melts away I will take mine in for tint. I am going to check into the medical waiver as well. Thanks!!

Tint
Any other tint recommendations in the Fairfax/Springfield VA area...A two-door car should not be any more than $200.

I did the same thing as Edog, it was $300 at LATint. The Pinnacle is their higher end tint and as Edog said, it helps cut out a lot of the heat. With black interior and IBM exterior it was a must. You can get a tint job for $200 from them, it will just be a lower level tint.

Mine was $200 even. The product was LLumar ATC, smoke color. I'm really happy with it. It was a Valentines Day gift my wife and I did for each other. I'm a lucky guy. She's as crazy about the car as I am.

I was their first in the Woodbridge shop, so my price was not as high as quoted by Matt. I can tell you there is a big difference between grades, and it was worth the money. I believe I paid 260.00 back in May 2009.
I initially went to Action tint shop by Spotsy mall in Fredericksburg. They quoted 185. for their best, but it was not as good, and it did nothing for the heat.

Yeah, $200 is a good price for something that's a good tint without any special colors or without them doing some tint designs.

Good Info. I think I will go with LA tints best. I hate getting into a hot car!

Anyone gone to the LA Tint in Woodbridge? Sterling is a little far for me.

My next question is this, When you guys had the tint done, did you have to leave the car, or were you able to drive it in, wait and leave with it?

It should be a drive in, wait, and leave with it. It doesn't take that long. I dropped off the car, walked down the street to a video game store, picked up a game, then got some food at a restaurant, and came back with it done.

I waited while they did it. I dropped it off and ran across the street to a couple of shops and then came back and it was done. It didn't take long at all.
