Perfect match spray paint

I got a couple of parking lot dings in my Rally Yellow C5, which were too big for the touch up bottle. I had painted my wheel rings yellow with Krylon Sunshine Yellow. Looked awful close to the body color, have been on the rings for 2 years and no problems, so tried it on the dings. Some sanding, primer and masking, and after spraying the yellow, found it was a perfect match. Better in fact, than the GM touch up bottle. A little 1500 grit sanding and some polish compound, and the dings look like they were never there. Pretty cheap touch up for $6.95 a can. Can't see where the factory yellow stops and the Krylon begins.

I have tried to post pics, but it never works. If you need proof, try it under the front bumper first. (mine always gets wacked on the curbs going into the driveway.) Sorry, but pics are not possible with my limited computer savy. I am not willing to invest the time to become computer savy. My 7 year old grandson likes that stuff, not me!

Yeah, I was really surprised. They don't sell Dupli Color spray for Rally Yellow at the local car parts stores, and buying it from the auto paint store gets pricey after they mix a quart and put it into spray cans.

I bought a 12 oz spray can from the dealer for $20.

Hmmm...That's a good price. My dealer is useless.

That's hard to believe, especially if you used a common Krylon yellow off the shelf. They say black is the ONLY color that can matched using any standard black spray can.

I took a set of black steelies... and a can of spray paint from Wal-Mart (Krylon, gloss, "Sun Yellow"). After a few hours of masking, spraying, and letting it dry, I ended up with these... and, even though the surfaces do not overlap, the angles are different, all that, the color SEEMS a perfect match!
