Is the GM OEM Car cover worth it?

Bought a car cover from Target last week. HORRIBLE. Did not fit at all. Figured I would try it out since they were only $40. So much for that idea. I was going to get the GM car cover with the stripes. I wanted the red one but the parts guy said they were junk. My car is getting dust all over it in the garage and the kids like to rub their little fingers all over it when passing buy.

Anyone got the GM camaro car cover? What do you think about it? How much did you pay?

I have the Silver one. I keep my car in a garage and I think it works great. Nice snug fit. Only drawback so far is that it gets wheel shine all over the inside where it touches the tires. Working on a solution now.

The GM cover is def not a good one...

I got one from California Car Cover http://www.calcarcover.com. Very happy with it. Fits like a glove.

If you plan on covering it and leaving it for a while they are great. They fit really tight and look great. If you are going to uncovering it every few days then it will rub the paint. A great garage winter cover, but that's about it.

Which one did you get? There are a few. Superweave, stormweave, plushweave, noah or dustop?

Yeah, that is what I am worried about, scratching the paint. You think this is a problem with all car covers though?

I got the plushweave. My car is stored in a garage so I don't use it all the time. I got it for weekend trips, etc.....

It's very nice. Very soft underside. Lockable with a cable.

Hey All,
On the recommendation of this forum we got the Noah cover. It is an interesting cover, seems too light upon first inspection but it is pretty thick and a very snug custom fit. even has pocket for roof antenna. Nice compact cover and I believe it will last.

cheers,
Bill n Bev

I bought one from my dealer. You can get the same one for a lot less $. I love teh fit and it does look sharp. During the summer I rarely use it, opting instead to cover it with a light cotton blanket. It's easier to put on and take off and doesn't scratch the paint.

I picked up the custom fit Covercraft Block-It 380 from autoanything.com. Very happy with the fit. I use mine in the garage for winter storage.

Covercraft Noah cover is great, nice tight fit compared to a generic cover which will rub your car with windy weather.
