just thought i'd add that depending on how dirty the throttle body was before installing the "new" ported throttle body (or even the stock TB after having cleaned it good), in some cases the car will need to relearn the idle.

overtime the ecm compensates for a dirty throttle body by slightly increasing the amount the throttle blade is open during idle. us humans will not notice this since there are no symptoms and the car idles at the normal rpm and will continue to drive normally without issue. But the moment you put a clean throttle body on a car who's ecm had already "learned" the dirty TB (and even though the caked on crap on the old TB seemed like it was the tiniest of thicknesses possible), the car will need to relearn the idle.

my car was idling at 2000 rpms when i installed the ported TB. drove it for about an hour to see if the ecm would adjust itself after a few cycles but no cigar. i felt like a duymbass but in the end i had to go to a neighbor down the street from me thats a tech II and he took care of it in 2 minutes. literally

so just keep that in mind and dont freak out if you get a high idle afterwards.

Symptoms described here usually are resolved through proper tuning. At times doing the standard equations won’t make a TB perform correctly and further adjustments may be needed.

We dont play around with porting LOL This is an extreme job that takes hours of tuning..... Thanks HioSSilver. I think we are going to do the one for my C6 a little less aggressive but not much.

About as efficient as anything else..... You would likely be more capable of designing a gate valve system that slides up and down. Same principle just easier to manufacture.

It would be fantastic. You could run a 150mm Tb and lose very little
Resolution or driveability

That's where I got mine, no CEL's at all. I just bought his straight out, kept my stock one just in case

I would not recommend getting a throttle controller, at least not yet.

With the Ported Throttle Body, you are likely to not need one. Also, a PTB and throttle controller don't always play nice together, but some have had luck.

Installed my Bo White PTB yesterday. If I would've known of this before I joined the forums, it would've been my first mod. Instant noticeable effect on throttle response.

Thanks BO!
