I'm not totally useless..

I think he means wider going inward to cover the rest of the tire and disappear into the body...

Just installed the front set, went on very easy. I wasn't sure how i'd like them but after washing her today, before installing these, I found a small rock chip by passenger side gills and quickly changed my mind. Rears will go on later. Rears will be a little more difficult then front but not too bad.
My only complaint would be lack of communication from company and small screw driver they state comes with package was not in there. Got no confirmation email and got no response from my email checking to see that it proccessed. I wasn't sure it went through since for some reason it took several days to show on my bank account. |

Got my front ones installed this weekend as well. Very easy (front) install, but I think the top is JUST slightly too wide and makes them stick out about a quarter inch too much on top. I plan on using my dremel tool to take a bit off where the clip goes on so that it still makes good contact with the fender, but allows them to sit flush with the outside of the car.
I have yet to install the rears. Waiting until I can remove the wheels I think. Just not enough room to work there comfortably otherwise. Possible, but not easy. C5 - mine came with the torx bit needed to remove the torx screws (not the full screwdriver), but I already had one so it wasn't a big deal either way. To the previous poster who asked to see them painted - this is a "stealth" splash guard. Wouldn't painting them kind of defeat the purpose?

it's a space station!

Just ordered mine. I put it off as long as I could but the sound of every little rock hitting my car was finally too much to bare.

Has anyone found a creative way of installing the "U" clip for the front ones without having it scrape the paint off the fender? I was thinking of putting some sort of rubber material in between the clip and the fender. Just not too sure about scraping the paint off of an area that will get hit with salt and snow in the winter.

Just Put SS polished wheels on my 1LT and noticed that these lower profile tires seem to kick up alot of gravel, found a couple light chips near the driver side gills, remember reading about the stealth guards about a year ago and placed an order tonight. hopefully this will cut down on the chipping! didn't really like the size of the molded OEM style ones, just a little too obvious, like that you can't really see these unless your really looking for them.
