yep, the Pedders crew is looking into it and I have no doubt if an issue is found they will make it right. Makes me a little glad the alignment kit is on back order so I haven't installed anything yet

We are thinking the new electric rack is slightly different even though the part numbers for the strap and bush are the same for all model years. As soon as the OE straps arrive we'll let you know what we find.

This appears to be an issue on the non electric as well, the OP has a 12 RS Camaro (I'm guessing that's a 2LT or it would have SS I imagine)

Unless your meaning they used the same brackets in all 2012 Camaros as the electric ones....

According to the GM parts catalog the answer is the bracket and the bushing are the same for all Camaros. Tht is why we have ordered a number of brackets and bushes. We want to see if there is a difference within the same OE part number.

I had the same issue with the BMR bushing. The fitment was very loose and the bushing was much thinner than the OE.

I have a BMR steering rack bushing in at the moment and is installing the Pedders one because it is stiffer. I had no issues with the BMR bushing as far as fitment is concerned. I am going outside so measure now in 28 degree temps will possibly take pics.

Hi ICTsccaCamaro are you still interested in rear monotube 1LE shocks. There are still on hand. If not I may install them.

Correct. GM put a few ZL-1 parts on the early 12s. My 12 doesn't have the electric assist rack but had the front sway bar, swaybar bracket thicker studs and the newer steering rack bushing. Pete it would be good to get the stock bush for 2012 and later not just the bracket. I was tempted to put a shim under the Pedders bush but the space on the sides are now an issue as well. The front K member flexes and it is good to have the bush as snug as possible from all sides not just top to bottom.
