Stolen Chevy Wheels

What is this world coming to? This is a pretty brazen robbery. "Thieves have stolen the wheels from 22 new cars and trucks at a Southeast Texas dealership and left the vehicles on unsteady wooden blocks."........

inside job.
I highly doubt that a crew could pull this off, that is steal 88 wheels and tires and get away without inside help.

That is exactly what I thought. All these dealerships have guards, so they would have to know when he was at lunch.

In today's day of tech it's hard for me to imagine it's not on camera.

I guess it says police are checking cameras, but man if I had a lot I think I'd have it coverd.

Even hauling 88 wheels away would be a substatially large operation... you can't squeeze very many of those into a passenger vehicle, even a Suburban or a pickup truck. They either had a LARGE cargo vehicle (commercial truck or trailer) or a lot of passenger vehicles.

And nobody saw ANYTHING? Come on!

My point exactly!
So lets look at this logically.

You would need to know when the guards were not looking, where the camaeras were, etc.
Then to physically pull this off, you need a couple (or more) of shop jacks.
Then you need the jack stands and blocks of wood to put the cars on. Which indicates that whomever did this cares about the cars in question. I would have jacked the cars up and let them sit on the brake calipers if I were just stealing that many wheels.
So, a rip-off crew loaded up 88 blocks of wood, they'd need a large truck to haul that much wood, and to haul away the tires.
Also these wheels arent winning any lightweight contests, that is a huge amount of work.
I smell something fishy.

Ohhhhh look I got a sweet deal on Craigslist for a new set of rims and tires....

All jokes aside that is sad. I know Dealerships have insurance on stuff like that but no one should have to go through that stress.

They don't care about the cars, they leave them on blocks so they can get the jack out so they can steal more wheels!

Or so I've heard

Camaro Wheels Jacked @ a Dealership.

Just had this pop up from Chevy Hardcore, not sure if it was shared yet, But here in Texas a dealership had 22+ cars sitting in the lot wheel less...

http://www.chevyhardcore.com/news/th...-chevy-dealer/

Poor cars :( some weren't even on jacks.

I See Camaro's , Impalas , Cruzes.
