pic of new daily driver with big sister

Was driving the ZL1 daily but 15 mpg combined with $4 a gallon gas made me look for an alternative dd. Picked up the Scion FRS and have been getting 30 mpg and it's a blast to drive. So far I have added wheels, springs, intake and tint with exhaust going on this weekend. Now the ZL1 gets to say clean a little longer!

Must be nice to have a $60,000 car just to sit in the garage and then buy another brand-new car as a daily driver. I must be in the wrong business

So you spend $30k on a car to save a bit on gas mileage? Really?

Cool choice of DD that lets you keep the miles off the ZL1, but I think it's silly sometimes when people drop 26k on a car + mods to save a few bux a week on gas. Not to mention insurance on the new car.

How many decades of driving the FRS daily will it take for you to fianlly break even in terms of gas savings?

Gas was not the only reason i got it. Miles, wear and tear on the camaro and just having another fun car to drive were factors too.

LOL that's what I was thinking. I would venture to say that a majority of ZL1 owners have other cars for daily drivers.

My second car is a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 202,000 miles on it. So I do have a second car... its just a bit dated. It also gets worse mileage than the ZL1.

Btw, good choice on the second car!

Thanks!. It is such a hoot to drive in the twisties. And believe it or not it gets just as many looks as the ZL1 - not because of the 'awe' factor but because no one knows what the hell it is.
