At crank should just be CAI, headers, upper and lower pulley, and a tune. With maybe another cam.

I'm very close to 700 rwhp and didn't do TB or Heads. I never added it up, but I'd say 7k and I paid for labor.

I'm some where around 675 rwhp now (belt slip eliminated) and adding a HX and BAP was about $13K. If I had it to do over again, I would have gone the route of mlee and saved the money. Drivability is great.

Not knocking those pay others to do their installs; but $10K for 700hp is nuts. I do my own installs including tuning which saves a lot of money and headaches.

Hognutz is dead on as usual.

OK so I could have saved 3,800 doing it myself now that I checked. ...so if you're not knocking us, then why are we nuts to pay for the labor.. My time is worth $$$ too.

Just upping your boost will get you there, however your motor won't last long.

But that's just to get the rwhp. As Sportyb24 pointed out, the $20k he mentioned included any other mods necessary to handle the HP.
This is bhp (623 rwhp).
Some people are talking bhp, and others rwhp.
The OP did not specify.

Can you list how you got to that power level for that cost? I may have to follow your lead.

I would say 700 rwhp would be really nice. If I went that route I would want to have all the supporting upgrades as well because if I'm going to spend the money I don't want it to go to waste by neglecting the rest of the needed areas for improvement. As for use, it would be more of a weekend car that I would take out to enjoy as well as take to some car shows/ gatherings and to the drag strip to have some fun with a few buddies on weekends. Also, I have an auto to clarify. I would do a lot of the installs myself if I had the knowledge to do so, but I just haven't learned enough about how to work on it myself to feel comfortable with this type of car. If I did it along with someone who knew what they were doing I would enjoy doing it with them and learning along the way though. I've always wanted to learn how to work with cars.

Thanks to everyone for the input so far! It really helps!

Hognutz listed it very well.

This is what I did for just over 9k

headers ~1,250
lower pulley and balancer ~600
cam kit ~1,200
HX ~800
injectors ~800
tune ~450
CAI ~400
Labor ~ 3,800k depending on place.

If I had the lift equipment I would put my headers and etc on myself to avoid labor costs, etc. Thats a lot to pay for labor to get to 700. Though time is money, I value my money more than the day or 2 or however many it takes for install.

I understand some chose not do their own mods, that's your decision. I'm stating that's a lot of money just for labor.

With our ZL-Performance packages you can get 700 WHP INSTALLED for under $7500.

Here is a dyno from our last build; somewhat of an "off build" from our ZL-800 package. Keep in mind we are up in the clouds at 4500+ elevation so #s will be better at sea level.

#'s before are with bolt-ons and after was with the addition of our JDP Stage III cam package.

Feel free to call, PM or email me anytime with questions.

Best regards,

Tyler
