Insurance Rates Revisited!

Last discussed 12/31/08. Just wanted to get ideas on who was quoted a premium from an insurance agence and what agency.

I got a premium of $69.98 month or a $419.88 6 month from State Farm.

2010 SS

38 years old
Unmarried
No points
Michigan
No Accidents
100/300/100 Liability $145.60 Premium
PIP Inc
1,000,000 Property protection Inc
Limited property damage $500 $1.97
Comprehensive $1000 deductible $47.07
Collision $1k deductible $150.39
Emergency road service $4.10
Uninsured motorist 100/300 coverage $10.82
Catastrophic claims premium $59.36
Statutory assessment $0.57

$419.98

Territory 330
Insurance Rating group 22
Liability rating group 6

Multi car discount
Multi line discount (Harley, T/A and house insured with State Farm)
Vehicle Saftey
No dependants premium
Saftey belt siscount
Good Driving Discount

Just wanted to pass along my rates and information. I saved $490 a year from switching from Progressive to State Farm, same coverage amounts plus gained road service. Was paying $590 for the Harley, paying $377 now. Was paying $69 for T/A a month, paying $41 a month now.Again, same coverages.

USAA.

Nuff said.

My rates might go up a tad...but nothing that would put even a ding in what I'm paying now. LOVE USAA.

And for my 2002 Camaro SS, can ya guess what a 6 month policy goes for??

$330.89

Thats good to hear Banshee, neither my Allstate nor AAA reps have rates yet. I have to stay with Allstate on my main items because nobody else will cover my boat (speed issues), but I put my extra car with AAA on its own policy because it was cheaper than Allstate. But the rate you got on the SS is less than my CTS with AAA, so its surprising news but good news!

Same here love my USAA. Looks like it will cost me about $48 more every 6 months. Three cars, full coverage, 500 deductible = $707 every 6 months. My house is insured with USAA, my only credit card is with USAA. The true discounts on insurance of any kind are through companies that have a variety of services to offer along with car insurance.

Right now I still have 2 quote

225/month from Progressive (this is with my Geo as the daily driver)
- 1990 Geo Metro on liability
- 2010 Chevy Camaro SS on full collision coverage

OR

255/month from Geico (same as above)

I really dont get the Geico quote, I've been with them for 4 years, never a late payment, and as of my birthday this last year I have a clean record. And now am also 25...

I think the mix up is STILL that the car isnt in many systems... And because of its specs (weight, HP, displacement) you only get a comparison... So they used the Challenger or something to get the quote. And its inflated.

I'm with USAA as well. How have you already got a quote on the Camaro? I tried online, but they didn't have it in their system yet.

I did price a base-level Corvette though and it only went up like $10 a month for the same policy I have on my 'stang.

So I can afford the insurance (probably)...now if only I could afford the car.

The USAA Rep said to use the worst case (Corvette Conv.). So, that is my unofficial online quote, and I find it hard to believe a Camaro Coupe will cost more than a Corvette Conv.
