which ipod works best?
I know this has been answered a million times (flame suit on) but which ipod works best with the usb in our cars? I have an iphone 3gs but I have to go to albums and back to menu about 3 times to get it loaded correctly so I'm just going to buy a used ipod. I wanted to know which generation has the least amount glitches/problems? Thanks in advance

The newest iPod Classic 160 gig is the best, I've used thumb drive, nano, 2 different iPod touches (older and newest). The classic has been the best. It works flawless, remembers where it was and works without a hitch.

I bought the newest Nano and it works really good no issues at all. I just leave it in the car. I could never get my iPhone(s) or iPod Touch to work properly.

The cool thing about the iPhone/iPod Touch is that it's pretty much the cheapest way to get a slick multi-function display into your car.
I'm currently in the process of routing wiring behind trim panels for my old iPhone to use as a permanent car music player. It's only 16 gig, but I don't have that much music so it'll do just fine. I'm routing more wiring up the dash to the mount I have for my new iPhone, which will have some music as well but will mostly be for apps (GPS etc) and Bluetooth phone calls. I'm thinking of using the old phone to also connect wirelessly to my Wifi OBDII transmitter, among other functions which aren't as memory-intensive and won't take away from its primary function of playing music. |

I went out and bought a nano...blue so it kinda matches my ABM but I've not really had any problems with mine. The only I don't like is, if I don't turn the stereo off when getting out of the car for any extended period of time, it starts with the first song on the iPod alphabetically and plays all songs even if I'm playing a playlist. If I turn the radio off, when I get back in and turn it on, it's on the Aux Jack setting and I have to hit source to get to my iPod. That's kind of annoying since I really only listen to the iPod.
