Car went in today

Had a few issues with the car and I had to bring it to my local dealership today.

Transmission - Sometimes you can't shift into third
Truck - Water leak
PDIM - Strange issues with pairing/listing playlists
Drivers Side Headlight - Water getting into housing
Recall/bulletin

Basically they stated that GM was cracking down on dealers and they will not Flash or Update your ECU/PMDI unless your issues match the bulletins/campaigns because they will not get paid. If there is another ECU update for me to bring in my car I have to explain exactly what the issues are pertaining to the bulletin. Honestly, I think that is a load of DooDoo. I am the owner of the car and if I want the latest ECU flash for my car from the manufacturer shouldn't I have the right to request the update?

I have a limited selection of dealers in the area.

I hope someone that knows anything about this can chime in here. I would love to go to the dealer and rub his nose in their own BS. I am not a fan of this dealer at all.

Some dealers just don't know how to submit warranty claims to get properly paid then therefore just try to avoid it all together. Yes, you have to submit the claim in the way GM is calling the fault. Some dealers just submit it as is hope for the best. Customer comes in complaining but the problem really isn't something GM would pay for any good dealer would just fix the car for the customer and tell a little white lie to GM and write up the workorder differently in such a way that GM would pay it. It's called good customer service, which is hard to find sometimes!

@Heavy your 100% right good customer service is very hard to find. I wish I lived closer to the dealer I bought my car at. They were very good.

Forgot to add they would not update my PDIM because they tested it with one of their iphones and it worked. Time for a new dealer.

Yep - Lou sucks the big one. So does Maroone (AutoNation), Potamkin, Ed Morse is the biggest whore of them all - and that's some whorey competition.

The whole thing is bogus.

We're going to have to keep track of what the tsb's cover, and specify that as the complaint(s).
