Line Lock
I want to install a line lock and I would like to remove the console to get to the shifter and run the wires. Can anyone tell me the secret to removing the console and shifter?

The silver colored surround pops up, there are four attachment points. I usually pop the back part up first... There are screws under that that hold the boot down. Pull up on the shifter handle and it pops off... This is on the LS-3 f course... Autos I have no idea.
