the steering wheel is easy. You just need to disconnect the battery first. Then you have to release the steering wheel cap by sticking a thing screwdriver in the back holes (there are some springed release buttons on both sides). Remove the cap then remove the airbag, it has 3 cables, color coded so it is easy to put back. With a little unclipping and tug it comes right off. Then just pop the steering wheel bezel off. Sounds complicated but it's super easy when you're actually doing it.

Question would the plasti dip work well with the cloth interior on the 1LT?

Nice, I did that in my monte but had trouble with it peeling off when barely touched, since there's a pretty big risk of it being damaged in the interior.

Pull the cloth off and get all the glue off, then paint them. Pretty simple.

Ubrimah - I didn't even unhook the airbag to take the steering wheel bezel off. Probably would have been a bit easier, but I read that if you break those connectors it is expensive to fix. I just unplugged the battery for 15 minutes, poked a screw driver in the holes, pried on the bezel and it fits over the airbag cap. I put painters tape over the bezel when putting it back on just incase it was to scratch. Worked nicely.

Looks great so far. Keep it up, headed to check your build thread now.
