I have to admit, as a law enforcement officer for 14yrs, it drives me crazy when people do not put on the front plate. It is the law!! BUT - I don't think there is any way I can put a front plate on my Camaro when it shows up. Am I alone here on this? I guess as a cop, I will just have to pay the ticket. Love the site!!

It's the law in New York but I'm not putting the front plate on. I'm not using the car as my daily driver so I'll take the chance.

There are a couple of good posts that show the front plate centered blow the bumper and supported by a homemade bracket. it looks good and he did not have to drill holes in the bumper. Texas has the front plate law as well.DPS is not very understanding about this. they told me if he let me get away with it, he would have to do the same for everyone else. I told him (as he was writing the $75 ticket) if the state is so strapped for cash, they could cut expenses in half, if they did not have this dumba$$ 2 plate law. he replied," have a good day Sir."

I have stopped many cars for the front plate violation but as long as nothing else is going on, I don't write a ticket. I would have to stop every vette I see including my dads!! But, be careful as it is a rock solid violation! (no drinking and driving) That is why I will have to drive my truck on those nights! LOL

I rolled the dice and got a ticket in Coon Rapids. The new Camaro just stands out too much from the crowd.

At least my dealership was understanding and put the front plate frame on for free last week.
