Wiring Halos as Daytime Lamps
I have searched throughout the forums for a definitive way for the Halos to be on as driving lights in the day and cannot find an answer. PLEASE HELP!!!! I have turned the knob one click to the right for this but I hate having tail lights and side markers on during the day. That kind of defeats my "blackout" purpose.

I guess you could wire them to a manual switch but you have to turn it on and off when you get in and out.

Are you talking about your factory halos? if so the wire harness connecting to each headlight has the halo wires your looking for. the wire is purple on the driver side and brown on the passenger side. The only way i think it would work is if you cut these wires and splice each one to a new line then run the new line down to the DRL below it and use a T-tap to hook into the wire supplying power for them. I haven't tried this but i've wired all of lights in my car i bought from AAC and i think it should work. If it works your DRL's and halos should come on together. You can also ask a guy named Stieger here on the forums, he's pretty good with wiring.

You can look up Fieldgoal69 on moderncamaro.com and see if he still makes the plug and play harness for this. He was a vendor here but switched sites.

AAC's harness will allow you to run your fogs and halos as the DRLs.

Not exactly. If you have DRLs, then AAC's harness will make it so that your halos, DRLs, and side markers are on during the day and then your DRLs are on at night.

I can't believe no one has made a harness for this yet. fieldgoal's stuff is too
expensive and advanced for something simple like this. Don't need fifty eleven modes for the lights. DRLs & Halos on all the time, the rest (HIDs/sidemarkers/tails) on automatically at night. All without flipping any switch off "Auto". Bueller? Bueller? Hello?

Halos only - the bottom "fog lights" then only come on when you manually change the switch or when your headlights come on. Maybe I'm wrong, I've read and re-read that post to make sure.

Dyer pretty much explained it. You need to tap the power off of the DRL's and run it to the halo. It would be very difficult to make a harness you can just plug inline for that.

Fieldgoal does though. If you just take power from the DRLs then your DRLs will also be on at night.

Just so everyone is on the same page with this wired harness your DRL lights will always be on when your headlights or halos are on, you will not be able to turn them off at night if your headlights or halos are on. This is the same way the other vendor harness operates am i missing something? |

Not sure if you've figured this out yet. OP you can use this harness then run new wires for the fogs on a switch up in the cabin.
