JVC Head units

So Im close on decision time on a new head unit.
Already have the Metra kit, satellite radio tuner, rear view camera.
I have narrowed it down to the NT-500HDT and NT-800HDT.

I like the bigger screen on the 800, but no AUX jack, and SD card slot behind screen

The plus on the 500 is the AUX input and SD card in the front, downsize is the screen size.

Other than that, both have the same specs.

Anyone have either that can shed some experiences?

Thx

I don't own either personally, but we do carry both of them and I've seen both installed. You are correct on the few differences between the two, so it will really come down to personal preference. Personally, I think the NT800 looks even sleeker installed in the dash due to the larger screen and the fact that you won't have cables hanging out of the front of the unit. Hope that helps!

Thanks for the reply. Seen them both on your site but they are pricey... looking at paying about 800 for the 800... ;-)

You're welcome. I'll admit that $800 for the upgraded model is a really good price if its a brand new unit from an authorized retailer. Glad to help out regardless of where you get it. Hope you enjoy it! You'll have to post some pics when you get it installed.

I'm sure it'll look great, especially if you are touching the Metra kit with the same color green as your car!
