Goodyear Supercar 3R

At $319 each, and a tread (or lack there of) pattern similar to the Pirelli Trofeo R, this Goodyear Supercar 3R 305/30/19 will be my next tire to try.

https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires...num=03YR9F1S3R

Has anyone purchased a set yet and has feedback to share?

Im really looking at them as well. Little higher tread wear might make them last a little longer. My hesitation is it looks like you cannot flip them. I need tires that I can flip to get the most life out of them.

I've been running NT01, but these will definitely be my next tire. Great price point, and the specs appear to be ideal for our cars.

Careful, TireRack will jack up the price if they see us getting too excited about them, like they did with the 325/30/19 Trofeo R...

I got a set - mounting tomorrow in preparation for VIR sat. I corded my 295 R888R with 4 hard track days (more like 5 and 2 auto xs). I think I ran pressure too low last week and did it but looking at the pic I don't think the tire had too much left in it anyway.

Nothing like finding a corded tire when doing your pre-track inspection... could have saved myself 3 hours driving tomorrow if I caught it on Monday / Tuesday and had the tires shipped

Yea, it's the fancy new oem ZL1 tire. I haven't really seen much info on them other than the fact that they appear to work well on the ZL1.

They're a slightly higher treadware than the Trofeo, so they should last a little longer, but we'll see.

They are 3 pounds heavier each tire based on 305/30/19. 26lbs for Trofeo R, 29lbs Supercar 3R

Just got them mounted. Fuller than a Trofeo R in my opinion but feels like a similar compound. Less cold weather grip than a R888R for sure. More compliant ride, less tramming and seems to have less noise then a Trofeo. I'm NOT excited about temps at VIR tomorrow AM - low of 22F, first session around 30f high of 45f. Hoping for a little miracle on weather.

All tires come up to temp when you drive hard on track. Bring them up to temp easy, then set some hot laps. Track records are broken during the colder months.

From what I have observed with these tires, they are phenomenal. I wish I could try them out myself. May have to settle for the G3's.
