Arrow ZZP catted downpipe questions

Hi all,
I'm looking to do the first mod on my wife's 2.0 and was looking at the ZZP downpipe - it's seems to be a great value for the price. I wanted to see if anyone has gotten a CEL with the catted version (not wanting to do catless). Also, with the stock exhaust, how much increase in volume/tone change would there be? By the way, as much as I love my V8 2SS, driving the 2.0 turbo is a blast!

Thanks all,
Somewhatdamaged

You should not get a cel with the ZZP catted downpipe. Sound wise I'll let others chime in on that. It for sure looks to be a very nice first mod.

I've owned two ZZP high flow cats setups on both my cobalt and sky. The sound is very subdued, throaty, and no rasp. I haven't had any CEL issues because I order both sets with a 400 cell high flow cat. I highly recommend it.

I have the catted pipe on my 2.0T and have only gotten a CEL once.
I was using engine cleaner on a long trip that eventually knocked some carbon loose. That carbon accumulated in the secondary O2 sensor's bung and was very easy to clean out. So, no fault of the product itself, but I wanted to be honest about any CEL after install.
It's a great product, ZZP always has nice welds, and this is my second vehicle to use one of their downpipes.
Highly recommend for sound and letting the turbo spin more freely.

I bet your heart jumped when your CEL popped.

The ZZP quality is really nice like you said plus for the price it's thus far unbeatable by anyone in my own personal opinion.

Thanks for all the feedback guys! I pulled the trigger, should have it next week, can't wait to install it! I hope my wife likes it LOL!

Any pointers on the install? I've watched the YouTube one that's up, and it's helpful but really doesn't go into the steps in much detail. I've also reviewed the great pictures and descriptions from the Mishimoto blog on their stock downpipe overview.

Lawl it works well i'm not sure the bolts were properly torqued we used an electric ratchet wrench. But served as a reminder to check by hand every time.
