My 2007 Solstice GXP only had 290 bhp and it was a 2.0L 4 cylinder that needed variable valve timing, a variable vane turbo, and direct injection to do it. It got 31 mpg, only marginally better than the Camaro with the LFX!
The LFX V6 is a nice engine. That's mildly built Chevy 327 V8 numbers from an engine less than 220 cubic inches- about 90 bhp per liter. That's damn impressive to me, naturally aspirated.
