2012 LFX W/auto trans differential posi setup
I am told it is all by itself, 195mm ring gear. Am I the only one trying to get a posi setup and gears for these cars?
![]() I am hoping/praying someone can figure out a swap or make some parts for this diff. A $7,000.00 diff kit offered by a company for this car to me is not an option. Yes their diff is a great one and will handle 650+ HP but that is not where I am or will be. I just need a decent posi and some gear to get into the 12 second club with a good set of DRs. I feel an investment of $2500.00 - $3500.00 would be in my immediate let's do this differential setup cost. OK, thanks for letting me vent.

I don't know how much it would be or the hassle in it but maybe as easy to order the whole diff setup from a ss or a manual v6 and have it installed. But as i said i don't know what work there would be to get it fitted in i wouldn't think there be alot to mod to get it to work and how hard it would be to order all the proper parts to do the swap.

Guess I'm the only one trying to do this. Not enough demand on these A6s for a company to come up with a kit to make the diff swap worth their time.

We do the swaps all the time from the V*'s or manual V6's.
Complete diff, axles, hubs, and drive shaft is all thats needed and we usually do it for app $2000-$2400 installed.

Will you ship me all the parts? I live in Maryland. I'm an automotive tech and ASE certified for the last 25+ years. I rebuild automatic transmissions and differentials at the shop so I'm not afraid to install a complete swap out.
