Factory Vinyl Stripes
Sorry for the noob question. I'm tired of my vinyl stripes and want to remove them. What is the easiest and safest way to remove them? Thanks

heat gun over a small one foot by one foot section. Then slowly peel off. If the peeling becomes hard, reheat the area and continue. Do that until the entire thing is off.
Wherever there is adhesive remaining, after pulling off the entire vinyl piece, spray some 3M adhesive remover and let it sit for about 2 minutes, then wipe off. This is how I took off my stripes.

When peeling off the vinyl is it still sticky? Just wondering if I could lift up a small section of my stripe to do a small chip repair then lay the stripe back down.

It will stretch if you try that and possibly rip...

I took mine off on my 2010 in the summer and needed noting but patience. I took the ones off this one just before Christmas and used a heat gun making sure not to get them too hot and warmed as I went and they came off pretty easily. Then I used some Lifter 1 citrus based bug and tar remover to get any excess adhesive off.
