I appreciate everyone's opinions, just curious though what you dont like? Carbon by Design is very interested in customer feedback, maybe they can make something you may like better. Unless you just dont like carbon fiber

This hood is $899 because its cf on top and underneath, if you get the fiberglass gel coat (black) underside its $699. If you want just fiberglass top and underneath to save some weight but you dont want the carbon fiber look it's $599.

Thanks, I think it looks grear on the cyber gray, but it would look even better on a lighter color, like white for sure!

I'd definately be interested once my Summit White was ordered. I'd be my very first CF accessory on a vehicle. What is the best way to was the hood to preserve its life?

Yea not feeling the hood or brakes. Like the size of the brakes but I like function over appearance for the most part, and drilled is for looks.

Different strokes for different folks.

Never really been a fan of carbon fiber but to me the rear of the hood seems a little high and the sides a little to squared off.

The Hood looks great to me and that is a fair price.

Why upgrade the brakes? That is a lot of money to spend on a car that already has Brembos and stops from 60 in 103ft (below average). Are you planning on racing it?

I havent weighed the stock hood yet but i believe its around 40 pounds. This hood weighs in at 15 pounds.

I dont think they make a stock style hood but im sure they easily could. Give them a call (760) 295-7618 ask for Travis. Tell him Mike from Camaro 5 sent you.

This hood has a clear coat on it just like paint and is made with a uv protectant to preserve the cf and keep the clear coat clear and not turn yellow or hazy. Wash it and wax it like the rest of the car, you can even use a clay bar if needed.

You like function over form, so you dont believe that a monoblock 6 piston front 4 piston rear 2 piece 15 inch cross drilled rotor Brembo brake kit works because its custom painted blue to look good? I dont get it.

Cross drilled does serve a purpose hence the reason that BREMBO only gives you a choice of cross drilled or slotted for their race kits. I guess they dont know what they're doing.

I was actually Brembo's prototype for this kit so they gave me a good "deal" if you know what i mean. Plus this kit helps get you points in the show circuit scene. I do plan on racing it too though
