3d Artist request.
Whats up everyone. I'm new to this forum. I wanted you let you guys know that I'm a 3D artist and I am going to model the new 2009 Camaro to its exact specs. High resolution, high poly, everything. I have one problem though. I need good reference pictures before I begin. I've already downloaded a bunch of images off these forums and google image search but I need more.
I need a Top view looking down. I need a Back view that is dead on straight. I need some under the hood shots and trunk shots. And some more interior shots would be helpful. When I've got all the reference I can start modeling and texturing what does that mean to you? I can make extremely high resolution custom pictures/posters with any paint job you want on it! Then you can take your own custom render to kinkos or whatever and have a copy of your own custom 2008-9 Camaro! Anybody interested? Thanks -Pete |

I'm sure you've already seen all of these, but here are the some of the best places I've seen for high-res pics:

Also check out our photoshop requests (1, 2)thread for some 2 dimensional paint job renderings from some of our local masters. |

this one is good. http://www.turbosquid.com/FullPrevie....cfm/ID/371007
but I want to go crazy with it and model everything including the interior. Its going to be higher detail photo realism. I will be using 3D max 9 and possibly Zbrush for modeling, and photoshop for texturing. |

Sounds pretty exciting. I'd love to be able to do a 3D virtual tour of the Concept. Are you going to update it when we find out the actual specs of the production version?

Well if you're using Max & ZBrush, I know it's going to be of the highest quality! May I request the first fully rendered representation of the new Camaro!? I'd like an all black SS with metallic-silver skunk stripes.

Great idea, I'd love to see some 3D renderings! Here's a "under the hood" shot. and an interior shot...a couple of them actually! |

There was a link I posted a while back where someone had first rendered the 5th gen. I think it was a german messageboard. You should be able to find it if you skim through the posts in this forum.

I basically was able to find everything I need except a rear shot that is straight on. other than that I think I got plenty of good ref. One thing though this is going to be a long process due to the fact that I have a very busy schedule but I will post my progress and I encourage any comments. Its gonna be tight!

In light of that, let me know if I can help, man. I use Cinema but I think Max can open .obj files, I can even triangulate the mesh. I'd be glad to model various parts or whatever....
