Not having front license plate attached by dealer

So i understand you can ask your dealership not to put the front license plate on your car and i fully plan on doing this.... I know there have been a few that have started petitions but i doubt this will have an effect. Personally i hate the look of the front license plate, especially on such a beautiful car. But I live in Cali and they require the front license plate to be attached. For those that live where they mandate this what do yo plan on doing? I've heard of people creating a hide-a-plate, sounds too complicated to me, I'm a simple man. LOL........... But what other options are there other than flat out being stubborn and not putting it on and just begging to be pulled over?

Well, really, those are your only options... leave it off, put it on, or buy a hidden plate attachment. I'm not sure you could do anything else...?

you could put it on the dash, most CA cops would probably let that slide (seeing as most won't pull you over for not having one)

Well i asked this question to Tag last month after looking at his beautiful camaro and not seeing it there. He told me that in the great state of Texas as long you have it somewhere in the front where it can be seen you wont get into trouble. So im going to but it on the dash or in the glove box for encase i get pulled over i can just put it up there.

Edit: What good does the front plate do? I'm really who looks at the front when they report you to the cops and i dont see any cops walking to the front to run your plates. Maybe Tag can come here in and tell us the importance (forgot to ask him this)?

How does the hidden plate attachment work? Is is something you have to push a button to activate?

I live in Arizona. I don't think we have any laws about front license plates. I don't have a plate on the front of my Mustang and no one has ever said anything about it.

I am working with a supplier right now to adapt a fold away holder for the 2010.

He has a proto type ready and is sending it to me this week.

" Gee officer ...this is my wifes car and we had it in a show and she forgot to put it back up."

QFT!

Of my last 7 vehicles I have not had the front plate on. I have never been pulled over for it ever. I've had things hanging from my rear view mirror as well. as 09'Z28 says most around here (I'm jsut down the hill from him) don't bother to pull you over for it, waste of time, BUT if your a jerk to them and they want to be one back, they can go look and be like oh by the way I'm writing you up for that too...

if your slu slip in in the front window when you get pulled over.

I don't think you need a front plate in Florida either, someone should post of the states that require it and the ones that don't. pretty please.
