Question about turning response (proper tire on wheel)

Above is the picture of my car. I have a 20x9.5 ET17 Forgestar wheel up front and a 20x11 rear wheel. They are all wrapped on 285/35/20 Michelin Pilot Super Sports. I also have the 1LE track pack installed. I was wondering if my turn in or car response is not optimal due to such a bubbly sidewall of a tire up front. As you can see from the picture my rears are stretched (obviously due to rim width), and my fronts have a bit of a bubbly sidewall.

I'd like to do a little more canyon carving, autocross, and perhaps road course in the future, and I wondered if having such a big tire on the rim itself may have hurt my turning response? Should I go with a 275 up front to perhaps get a little bit more of a stretch to improve turning? It's not too bad, but I wonder if it could actually get better. Thanks.

It's not really a matter of being "optimal". Different tires and different sized tires can/will handle differently.

It can have an effect, yes. Some tires also have a firmer sidewall than others. And it's likely not helping the the MPSS are on the wide side.

Thank you for the response. Cool. I was curious if they were possibly causing my turning and steering response to be "sloppy".
