Mine made 131 rwhp with LTs, cai, magnaflow cat back and 3.5 pulley. I recently added the ADM duel pump, cam and supporting mods, 72lb injectors, torq convertor, and made another 91 rwhp to get it to 222rwhp over stock and 540rwhp total. This is an L99 car with a conservative tune. Cincy Speed did my work both times and I am extremely happy.

Based on Granatelli's responses and lack of knowledge about the car they make parts for I will never be doing buisness with them. He first says that the L99 has no VVT and then later tries to cover himself saying that it does have VVT but not a true VVT. He says that the cam doesnt allow for any advance or retard in cam timing based on rpm. EHHHHHHHH! sorry Granatelli but you are wrong and tuners ARE getting more power out of this motor using that function. I cant believe this guy didnt know the L99 has VVT. He can try to cover himself all he wants and say differently but the proof is in the previous post. That is not a company that I want working on my motor or building parts for my motor. All the BS he just spouted about the L99 and VVT makes me really question what other BS is the company CLAIMING about their products and services.

Please give it a rest

I made it clear how I felt about the VVT DOD AFM thing - not sure why a few want to harp on it The facts have not changed. And I still stand by what I said, I am sorry if I confused a few. But the L99 is not a true VVT by industry standard as a whole. Yes it can barely phase the cam and yes that leads to a few degrees of advance but not enough to make any appreciable difference and no peak power increases that would repeat on the dyno. A few want to talk about power under the curve OK so if you advance the camshaft as early in the event as possible you could see 10hp at varying throttle angles but at WOT - there is just not enough to write home about.

This whole thing came about because someone speculated that the VVT was somehow preventing Tom D car from make 500hp instead of 400. My point was - that aint the reason

I get that many of you hold venders to a higher standard - I agree, we need to just sit here and bite our tongues when we get bashed - but I keep trying

The last thing I want is to loose a potential customer over something I said. If you have an L99 - LIKE MY CAR and think we can't tune because of something I said - I understand but when all the dust settles you will see I was right

Will probably have to be late one night this week, but we will try to get some real world results for everybody. Stay tuned guys, should be interesting.
If these wires make 20 to the tire on our shop car..............Granatelli will make millions on them.
Sooooo.... how is the progress towards testing the Granatelli plug wires at SPi ?

And Tom D's car eliminated AFM DOD VVT gizmo when they installed the Blower - So for sure that is not why it only makes 420 which seems pretty repeatable when you consider a car just like Tom D's ran 108 at CamarofestII - 108 mph works out to 412 rwhp

And this just in - While dynoing a 408 with a Maggie 2300 at 16psi it was reporting 960hp when the blower belt snapped off. The HP went to 1112hp for a good 16 samples. The sample rate is 12.5 samples per second so we had 1.28 seconds of captured data. That is more than 1 would think.

This tells me it takes 152hp to drive the blower at 16psi. While not scientific it does make sense. So at 7psi what kind of power does it take 70-ish? When you consider at 7 psi with our turbo kit an A6 makes 525 rwhp - that is 100hp difference - the numbers all jive

What? 108 mph = 412 rwhp. Is that Sesame Street math? Try this on. My car trapped 113mph with 368 rwhp? You really should have quit posting anything in this thread long long ago.

OH NO !!! Keep this going, this stuff is great. The truth is, no one knows everything there is, about anything. I am certainly enjoying all this knowledge compiled in one place.

Not to beat a dead horse, but did you get a base dyno before the S/C was installed? I know every car is different and every dyno is different. However, I was just reading the a new copy of Camaro Now and was really impressed with an E-Force install. Of course there were two major differences: It was a manual and it used 93 Octane. On a Dynojet their base was 348rwhp (which seems kind of low?). After the install (by Pat Musi Performance in NJ), it hit 506rwhp. So 158hp at the wheels!
Do you know what the difference was in your car?

Thanks for posting as all this reading is great for a newb like me!
